itinerary ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival

Arrival to Split airport where you will be met and transferred to a hotel situated in Split city centre. Upon arrival and short break in hotel, welcome drink is organized where you will be given all necessary information about your tour and program.

Day 2

First Day in Split

After breakfast, you will meet your guide for private guided tour of Split centre. On your tour, you will discover ancient centre of this remarkable second largest city in Croatia. Diocletian's Palace or Split centre is UNESCO protected world heritage site and offers unique perspective on ancient roman architecture. On your tour, you will stop at palace basements, Jupiter's Temple, visit Saint Dominus Cathedral and much more. In the evening dinner will be organized in the old town in one of many restaurants that have sprung open in the recent years since Split gastronomic scene has exploded. Enjoy your dinner in amazing surrounding of this buzzing Mediterranean city! Return to hotel after dinner.

Day 3

Sinj and Cetina River region

After breakfast, the adventure awaits in Cetina landscape. Explore the Sinj Alka Museum of the traditional equestrian competition and Stipe Sikirica Sculpture Gallery while visiting the city center and the famous Alka stalls. Continue to Omiš and Cetina River and after a short boat ride arrive to your traditional Soparnik cooking show. After lunch, on our way back, we will visit the Klis Fort and photograph the stunning panorama of Split.

Day 4

Zadvarje Fair

Today's journey starts by leaving Split at 9 AM. The first stop is Gata where you will sightsee the St. Cyprian church from the 18th century. Enjoy the beautiful view over Omiš from the Gata lookout. We will return to Zadvarje around 10 AM. After exploring the fair, we will head to the host's estate where you will take part in making your own lunch – a traditional Dalmatian dish under the lid. Later, you will taste authentic smoked ham and cheese, homemade rakija(grappa) and visit the historical locality until the lunch is ready. We will leave Zadvarje around 3 PM and head to Split.

Day 5

NP Krka - following the footsteps of Emperor and Empress

After having breakfast in the hotel, we will travel to Skradin where you will relax at your own pace exploring the stunning Krka National Park and strolling among amazing waterfalls. Next stop will be Manojlovac falls where you will go to the same location Emperor and Empress were taken. By then, you will surely get a bit hungry, so lunch will be served with exact menu that Emperor and Empress were served in their visit. The rest of the evening will be spent in the hotel.

Day 6

From Split to Island of Brač

After the early breakfast, you will travel from Split to Supetar by the ferry. The footpath Dolce Vita will take you on an amazing journey through the astonishing nature of Brač Island where you will get to know its gastronomic beauty, culture and traditional way of living. There are 5 restaurants, taverns and agro-households, 2 art galleries and a family wine cellar. The footpath is 6km long, taking you to Donji Humac and Dračevica, yet undiscovered architectural jewels of Brač. Each of these stops represents the autochthonous, 100% local and authentic gourmet heritage – olive oil, cheese, grappa and liqueurs, lamb, wines, and sweet delicacies. Take the memory back home with you and always cherish this experience with stone souvenirs. At the end of the day, you will return to Split.

Day 7

Split Cooking Class

Located in the center of Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cooking class starts by walking through Split's green and fish market. Popularly known as "pazar" green market is the informal center of the town. Rich sights and sounds intertwine with strong characters of produce sellers, locals doing their everyday shopping for lunch and bystanders observing this Mediterranean heart of the city. Same can be said of the fish market. Local fisherman brings catch of the day and early in the morning this vibrant and colorful exchange of words - banter starts and ends when you pick your fish. Your walk with Chef will include him teaching you his "insider" secrets on how to pick fresh seasonal ingredients and best fish of the day. Depending on market and offer of the day you will continue to prepare 3 course meals. Along with food selection of Croatian wine will be served.

Day 8

Departure

Breakfast in the hotel and leisure time until the transfer to the airport.
